William Whyte Leaders

William Whyte was with the CPR and from 1886-1909 was General Superintendent of Western Canada he was responsible for the railways progress from Winnipeg to Vancouver. In Alberta he negotiated for the construction of The High Level bridge Strathcona to Edmonton PLus the Lethbridge High Level bridge. The building of the spiral tunnel plus taking the railway into farming communities and mining areas.
He became vice president in 1910 and was knighted in 1911.
