Garth C. Campbell Leaders

Mr. Campbell rose through the ranks of Canadian National and came into his own during its passenger rail rennaissance of the 1960 decade. A prime creator of Red, White & Blue pricing, he was head of passenger service, and presided over dramatic increases in carryings at a time when other North American railroads were losing ridership and trains at increasing rates.

He was instrumental in creating VIA Rail Canada, first as a CN subsidiary, and then, after a hiatus during which time he served as a senior executive for the Canadian Postal Service, he returned and became Vice President - Marketing for VIA Rail Canada.

Following his retirement, and to his death, he served as an officer of Passenger Transportation Specialists (Canada), an affiliate of Passenger Transportation Specialists, Inc., a US railway consultancy, now known as PTSI Transportation.
